Jason Ritter tweeted today about his new film I AM I. Being curious I went to the website to look at it. The cool thing about this movie is that the filmmakers are asking the general public for donations to get the film made. Filmmaker Jocelyn Towne created an incentive video online with cast members and crew. I have never seen anything like this. It was a genius idea.
Most movies are big budget movies and you could never be a part of them. If you're like me and love movies and all things Hollywood you can now get involved. All donations go towards the film. Along with your donation there are incentives such as having having actor Simon Helberg (one of my faves from THE BIG BANG THEORGY) record a special ring tone, which they will send to you. You also get a shout out on the film website. With each donation depending on how much you give there are different incentives.
This is a great idea to get people involved and interested in the movie. If you have been following me you know I have created videos for Oprah and started the Oprah campaign so I thought this was amazing. Go and check it out and donate! This could be your once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of a feature film.
